The Crypto Science Society gathered in Denver on Sept. 21 to discuss the future of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies.
Speakers at the event included Trevor Koverko, CEO of Polymath; Sergey Ivancheglo, Co-Founder and CEO of Decentral; and Jesse Powell, CEO of Kraken.
Koverko discussed the potential for blockchain to enable secure, transparent and global transactions. Ivancheglo discussed the potential for cryptocurrencies to become a mainstream form of payment. Powell discussed the potential for Kraken to become a leading crypto exchange.

Metro State University of Denver Hosts Crypto Science Society
Denver, CO – September 26, 2018 – Denver State University (DSU) has announced that they will be hosting the Crypto Science Society beginning in the Fall of 2018. The society will be a forum for students, faculty, and industry professionals to discuss the latest advances in cryptography and blockchain technology.
According to DSU, the Crypto Science Society is “dedicated to promoting scientific inquiry and educating the public about the latest developments in cryptography and blockchain technology.”
DSU’s announcement comes at a time when crypto and blockchain technology are both receiving increased attention from both the academic and business communities. In recent months, several high-profile companies have announced plans to integrate blockchain technology into their businesses. These include IBM, Microsoft, and JPMorgan Chase.

Crypto Science Society Hears from Metro State University of Denver Students
The Crypto Science Society gathered at Metro State University of Denver on Thursday, January 25th to hear from students about their projects and experiences in the field of cryptography.
The event was hosted by Professor Igor Dragun and Dr. Hiroki Kobayashi from the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science. Topics covered included the history of cryptography, recent advances in cryptography, and applications of cryptography.

On Wednesday, November 14, 2018, the Crypto Science Society welcomed Metro State University of Denver's presentation on "Blockchain Technology and its Applications." The presentation was given by Dr. Vikram Sharma, an associate professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology at Metro State University of Denver.

On October 25, 2018, the Crypto Science Society of Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) welcomed Dr. David Siegel, an expert in the field of digital currency and blockchain technology, as its guest speaker.
